The Chairman of the Paddy Marketing Board said that the Paddy Marketing Board has stock of paddy for less than a month and currently the Paddy Marketing Board has 45 lakh kg of paddy.
It is reported that Buddhika Iddamalgoda said.
Also, Hambantota rice warehouses, which are closed due to non-availability of rice, will be considered for opening if a request is received from farmers’ organizations, the chairman further stated.
Mr. Buddhika Iddamalgoda, Chairman of the Wheat Marketing Board, further stated that Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has called a meeting to discuss this matter at the Hambantota District Secretariat tomorrow (18).
