It is reported that the passenger boat service between Jaffna Kankasanture and India’s Karaikal, which was scheduled to start on April 29, has been postponed until May 15 at the request of India.
India has announced that it will have to be postponed as it will take more time to provide the necessary buildings and other equipment facilities for the immigration officers to employ the customs officers to maintain this boat service.
