American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung has stated that the United States has allocated more than 24 million dollars in aid to Sri Lanka last year.
She posted on her Twitter account that the aid was earmarked for food security, school lunch funding, fertilizer for smallholder farmers and to meet the needs of pregnant mothers.
Also, she has further indicated in her tweet that she is ready to continue to provide loans, training and support to the small and medium enterprises in the country in view of the economic crisis that Sri Lanka is facing.
