It is reported that the National STD and AIDS Control Program has announced that they will restart the installation of Condom Vending Machine so that people can get condoms while traveling.
Dr. Janaki Vidyapathirana, director of AIDS control program, said that this project will be restarted to prevent the spread of HIV.
Since 2017, the installation of this Condom Vending Machine had been started near the railway stations and places where people hang out, but due to the economic crisis last season, the project has been stalled, so it is planned to start it again.
There was a shortage of contraceptive sheaths from March to November of this year, and it is also reported that 20 lakhs of contraceptive sheaths were imported last week.
According to that, it is said that these birth control sheaths are being provided free of charge to the people who come to the clinics.
