It is reported that the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Gunadasa Samarasinghe stated that the import of fertilizers has started for the 2023 crop season and the procurement activities related to the import of urea fertilizers are being carried out.
According to reports, he further states that measures will be taken to provide 36,000 metric tons of mud fertilizer to the farmers free of charge between March 15 and 20.
