It is reported that the Minister of Health Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella has instructed the National Drug Regulatory Authority to take necessary steps to increase the number of qualified registered suppliers for drugs in order to speed up the process of drug supply.
It was in a discussion held at the Ministry of Health.
Through this, it will be possible to control situations such as drug shortages and rising prices, instead of the existing monopoly in the supply of certain medicines. It is stated that Minister Rambukwella has given instructions to the Ministry of Health officials.
