06 high-capacity motorcycles were found in a garage in Henagama area of Weliweriya while they were brought into the country illegally.
The police said that the value of the imported motorcycles is about Rs. 400 lakhs.
These motorcycles were found in a raid conducted in Weliveriya Henagama area according to information received by the Gampaha Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau.
As stated by the police, high capacity motorcycles which are not approved for use in Sri Lanka were brought to the country in parts, assembled and prepared for sale.
Accordingly, two persons have been arrested in connection with this incident and they are scheduled to be presented to the court today (22).
