The Colombo Crime Division says that the rider riding the motorcycle was arrested in connection with an incident in which a person was shot and seriously injured in Newham Square, Jampataveediya, Colombo.
A 23-year-old resident of Demodara area has been arrested and police say that he had 6 grams and 470 milligrams of heroin.
It is said that on the 25th, two persons on a motorcycle shot a person near a meat shop in a certain Jampataveediya area of the Veralabada police domain and ran away.
The Colombo Crime Division is conducting further investigations to arrest the motorcycle used in the crime and the shooter.
