“From next Monday, that means from March 4th, all the clients who come to the offices of the Department of Motor Transport in Sri Lanka must reserve a suitable time on that day and come for the relevant work. We have introduced an automated phone number for this. This phone number is 2 117 116. After choosing the service you want, you have to choose your phone number and ID number. After entering, each of you will receive a short message to your phone number stating the date, time and place to come for the relevant work. In addition, we have introduced a website called www.dmtappointments.dmt.gov.lk. We have made it possible to get that facility through the website as well.
