It is reported that the opening of bids to select a suitable investor for the restructuring program of SriLankan Airlines is scheduled to take place today (05).
Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has mentioned that bids can be submitted for that from 10 am to 2 pm today.
The submission of the respective bids is to be done live and a special technical team has also been appointed to support it.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has mentioned that after preparing the bid evaluation report, the relevant proposal will be submitted to the cabinet.
The minister has further mentioned that under the restructuring program of SriLankan Airlines, a proposal of about 500 million US dollars is expected.
