PHIS ARE READY TO WORK WITHOUT STIPEND TO CONTROL DENGUE.

It is reported that Mr. Upul Rohana, Chairman of the Public Health Inspectors Association, said in a press conference today (15) that his members from all over the island can be deployed to control the dengue disease spreading in the Gampaha district and that they are ready to work without interim allowance if necessary. is

The chairman who further commented on this matter,

“Currently, it has been seen that the dengue disease is spreading rapidly throughout the island. We cannot be satisfied with the measures taken by the authorities to control the dengue disease. Because it has to be said that it is not possible to do this work by using officials and the public without proper training and wasting time. Here it is especially important to say that we are participating in this activity not expecting any extra allowance but considering it as a national responsibility. It has been reported that some health workers who are searching for dengue mosquito larvae have been obstructed by the public in recent days. Before coming to see, we do not inform about it in advance. Therefore, we request all people to consider it as a public announcement and support it. I would like to say that we will take legal action against health workers if they interfere in any way when they go to investigate about dengue fever.”
