POLICE SERGEANT AND CONSTABLE WHO TOOK BRIBES WERE DISMISSED.

A police sergeant and a police constable of Itthepana police station who received a bribe of 10,000 rupees have been arrested by the officials of the Bribery or Corruption Investigation Commission.

It is reported that they have been arrested during a raid based on a complaint made by a person in Yagirala area.

It is stated that a bribe of 10,000 rupees has been demanded to return the driver’s license taken into custody in connection with a traffic case of the complainant and to check whether the license is a legal driver’s license and not take legal action.

The Bribery or Corruption Allegations Investigation Commission has stated that a sergeant and a constable of Itthepana police station have been arrested for receiving the relevant amount and providing support for it.

It is said that the arrested suspects are scheduled to be presented to the court today (27).
