The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur from time to time in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district today (28).
The department mentions that several rainy seasons may occur in the northern and north-central provinces.
In the rest of the provinces of the island, after 1.00 pm today, scattered rain or thundershowers will occur.
In some places in Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts, mm. The Department of Meteorology announces that there may be some heavy rains around 75.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
