Rishad Badiuddin acquitted in both cases

Former Minister of Industry and Commerce, Member of Parliament Rishad Badiuddin, was acquitted today (02) of a case against him.
It was in a case that had been assigned that they misappropriated public funds and misused government funds by using buses of the Ceylon Transport Board to transport displaced persons to vote in the 2015 presidential election in violation of election laws. The case was called before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
Also, Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage has today (02) ordered to release Mr. Rishad Badiuddin, who was a suspect in the Easter Sunday terror attack, from the case as per the instructions of the Attorney General.
Accordingly, Mr. Badiuddin has been acquitted in two cases assigned to him today (02).
