SCHOOL BOOKS ARE PRINTED WITH THE HELP OF INDIA.

The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka has stated that the Government of India has provided support for printing half of the required textbooks for the 4 million school children in Sri Lanka.

And on several previous occasions, the State Printing Corporation and private importers used more than US$10 million from the US$1 billion loan facility provided by India to Sri Lanka to import food, medicine, fuel and other essential goods and raw materials for industries. It is reported that the Indian High Commission has indicated that the paper and other materials needed to print school textbooks were imported from India.

Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Mr. Gopal Bhagle, participating in the distribution of school textbooks to schools with the grant of Education Minister Mr. Susil Premajayant, said that providing support for printing textbooks is an investment made for the future of Sri Lanka and this investment will help to brighten the future of students. .
