It is reported that Dr. A.R.M.Tawfiq, director of the National Eye Hospital, said that due to the spread of germs in the operating theater of the National Eye Hospital, all surgical operations were stopped from yesterday (19).
He has further mentioned that steps have been taken to excavate and restore this operating room as soon as possible and it is not possible to announce a specific date for that.
Mr. Ravi Kumudesh, President of the Scholarly Association of Health Professionals who commented in this regard,
“Germs don’t just enter an operating room. There are a lot of people employed to control them. Therefore, the Ministry of Health should formally investigate how these things happened. It is up to that section of the Ministry of Health to provide an alternative method instead of turning away patients from operating rooms. It is the responsibility of the Deputy Director General who has been appointed. It is the responsibility of the Minister of Health and the government to entrust him with that work. Why is the Ministry of Health saying, “Go to the operating room with a poisoned egg, there is nothing to do, come on a fixed day?” Who is responsible for that? Where are the people who shed crocodile tears for the patients when there was a strike? They seem to have not seen this, and we directly question whether they will send the free health service into the abyss in a planned way.”
