Teacher’s Federation’s rights petition is being considered.

It is reported that the Supreme Court has been ordered to be convened on July 14 to consider the basic human rights petition filed by the Ceylon Teachers Federation requesting that an order to prevent power cuts be issued to related institutions on the days of upcoming examinations.

It is reported that this petition has been filed by Joseph Stalin, Secretary of Ceylon Teachers Federation.

It is reported that today (6th) when the Supreme Court Judges Priyantha Jayawardena, Achala Vengappulli and Mahinda Samayawardena summoned the petition before her.

It is also reported that the court has ordered to issue a notice to the examination commissioner who is named as the respondent in the petition.
