Currently, the ice drug epidemic is spreading rapidly in Sri Lanka.
Police investigations are currently underway to find the people who use and supply this ice drug and most of them are arrested, which is a tragic situation for the youth community.
During an ice raid, 30 youths who were using ice drugs were also arrested in a resort in Benthota – Bodhimaluwa area.
The raid was conducted according to information that a group of people were holding a party using drugs in the resort and it is said that the arrested youths are between the ages of 21-27.
The body of a person who has used this drug once or twice will ask for the same drug again and again. Because of this, ice users will become addicted very quickly.
This results in depression, anxiety, fatigue, and excessive drug cravings.
Also, it has been confirmed that long-term use causes changes in brain structure and function, deficiency, memory loss, mental confusion, violent nature, severe dental problems and body decay.
It is very difficult to save a person who is addicted to this drug. Some people even resort to suicide. When there is no money to use drugs, they suffer their body and it becomes unbearable. Today, some people resort to suicide. We find in this country.
Therefore, adults should take care of their daughter or son.
