It is reported that the examination department has announced that the first phase of the evaluation activities of the 2022 general examination will begin on the 18th of this month.
Its Deputy Commissioner of Examinations Mr. Lasika Samarakoon mentioned that these evaluation activities will be conducted in 100 centers in the island until the 27th.
“These evaluations will continue until August 27. 472,554 candidates had applied for this exam. Almost 2.6 million answer sheets of those candidates, which means almost 90%, are evaluated at this stage. 27,500 teachers are ready to contribute to this huge process. These evaluations take place during the school holidays. Due to this, no school will be closed additionally due to evaluation activities. Accordingly, 1,721 evaluation boards operating in 100 evaluation centers in 56 cities are going to carry out these evaluation activities.
