THE DEPUTY ALSO PLANTED CANNABIS IN A CONVERSATION. 2.5 ACRES – THAT’S FALSE – HE SAYS.

The Police Special Task Force has arrested a person with 2.5 acres of cannabis in a land belonging to Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa in Mattala area.

In an area of 2.5 acres, there were 18,956 ganja trees about 4.5 feet high and the arrested person is a resident of Suriyawewa area.

However, Deputy Speaker Mr. Ajith Rajapakse states that media reports that a ganja den has been run on his land are false. However, he mentions that the land has been acquired from the Deputy Speaker on rental basis for growing vegetables and fruits. But no document for that has been reported to the media.

Cannabis is grown on the land. If the land really does not belong to the Deputy Speaker, he should immediately send a complaint against the relevant media organization and demand compensation for the insult caused to him. Actually, there is no point in suing the land in his name.
