“THE ELECTRICITY BILL CANNOT BE INCREASED TO AFFECT THE PAST”. CHAIRMAN OF PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION SAYS.

Yesterday, the Cabinet approved the proposal regarding the increase in the electricity bill, which pushes the people of Sri Lanka into a struggle again. According to Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission, he received the proposal yesterday (09).

He said that it will take 45-50 days to take action on the matter. He also states that the electricity bill cannot be increased to affect the past.
