A 20-year-old unmarried youth named Kavindu Gaveshan, a resident of Kuruwita area, died early today (12).
It is said that his leg was also seriously damaged in the accident.
Hospital sources have said that the condition of the other four people who were hospitalized is still serious.
The driver of the car that caused the accident fled the scene and later surrendered to the Ratnapura Police.
