A video of a woman assaulting a 17-year-old girl in Ragama area was circulated on social media and the Ragama police immediately took action.
It is said that this girl was attacked by her stepmother. The girl’s mother is said to have died.
The police said that after the girl was presented to the forensic officer and a court order was obtained, further action will be taken against the concerned woman.
