It is reported that the Singapore police took steps today (11) to file charges against a Sri Lankan man who confessed to killing his wife.
In this regard, the Channel News Asia website has reported that a 30-year-old man named Eshan Tharaka Kottage killed his wife in a hotel in the Katong area.
A woman named Sevwandi Maduka Kumari has been killed in this way and it is said that the killing took place on the 9th between 10.45 am and 4.42 pm.
The concerned suspect has been presented to the court where he has been ordered to be imprisoned for a week.
After committing the murder, the suspect surrendered to the police and later a police team found the body of the 32-year-old woman in a room of the hotel. The related website has reported that if he is found guilty of this murder, he will receive the death penalty.
