It is reported that a girl who came to the Panadura beach was rescued by the Panadura Police Life Saving Unit when she was swept into the sea.
In a police media statement, the office stated that the officers of the unit, Sub-Inspector Nimalsiri and Police Constable 91046 Dasun, immediately intervened and managed to save the girl’s life.
The 15-year-old girl who saved her life is a resident of Polpithimookalana, Kospalana and arrangements have been made to hand over the girl who saved her life to her mother.
It has been revealed that the girl jumped on her face with the intention of committing suicide.
