The Disaster Management Center says that the Polonnaruwa – Batticaloa road is at risk of being flooded.
The Waste Management Center also announced that there is a water level of about one foot near the Gallalella bridge across the Polonnaruwa – Batticaloa road and taking the situation into account, the road has been closed until further notice from the Gallalella area.
The Disaster Management Center also says that the water level of the Mahaweli River is rising due to the ongoing rain.
