Yesterday (6) morning, a news was reported that the dead bodies of the father and the two children of the same family in Aranayak, Polabeygoda, Godigamuwa area were found in an ambalam in that area. The police suspect that the cause of the triple death was a family dispute.
The deceased 33-year-old man had gone to his native village from Aranayaka with his wife and two children about 2 months ago and the deceased’s wife returned home to Aranayaka due to a dispute with her husband. It is reported that the deceased came to Aranayaka House with his two children to fetch his wife. But the deceased said that he went back to his house in Giriulla with his two children.
It is reported that there had been a family dispute between the deceased man and his wife for some time and a police complaint had been lodged in this regard earlier. His relatives stated that the same case was to be examined yesterday (6) and the deceased 33-year-old man was informed to appear before the police.
It is reported that the deceased has killed his two children and also injured himself.
