THE RISK OF MALARIA IN JAFFNA IS ON THE RISE AGAIN.

The Jaffna Teaching Hospital and Epidemic Unit has reported that the risk of contracting malaria has increased once again for the people living in the Jaffna area, and two new cases of malaria have been found in this same area.

It is said that the malaria patients found earlier belonged to the genus Anopillus pulciparum, but the patients found this time belong to the genus Anopillus stephensi.
