A news of a child’s death due to entanglement in a sari thread is reported from Haputale, Pitaratmale Wattha area.
This child was playing at home with his brothers and then the mother came and took two children to another room to make them sleep, and when the mother came back, the child in question was strangled in the sari cloth that had been prepared for the crib hanging from the beam.
However, the police said that the child had already died.
