A news was reported yesterday (12) that a school girl who was ready to appear for the high level examination in Mullathivu, Pudukudiirippu, Iranapalai area committed suicide.
The police said that an 18-year-old student has passed away.
The investigation conducted by the police has revealed that the girl committed suicide when no one was at home.
Neighbors found that the girl had committed suicide, and later the girl was taken to the Pudukudiirippu Hospital and it is reported that the girl was already dead by the time she was admitted to the hospital.
The dead body has been deposited in the Pudukudiirippu hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination, and the Pudukudiirippu police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
