It is reported that a stock of printed forms worth 30 lakh rupees, which was supposed to be delivered by a private printing company in Maradana area, was sold to bottle newspaper shops by an employee of the printing company without handing it over to the relevant institutions.
After informing the owner of the printing house that the order had not been received even though the time promised to give the order had passed, the owner submitted a complaint to the police.
Later, the Colombo Fraud Investigation Division said that the concerned suspect was arrested.
It is reported that after questioning the suspect, he sold the stock of printed forms to bottle newspaper shops in Maradana, Borella etc. at prices of 3000, 4000 rupees etc.
