It is reported that Embilipitiya Hospital is facing a severe crisis due to the lack of specialist doctors and the need to transfer patients who need emergency surgery to other hospitals.
As the patients have been transferred to Karapitiya, Matara, Hambantota and Ratnapura hospitals, Hospital Director Dr. R.M.W.S.Bandara requests that the patients who need urgent and emergency operations be avoided to be referred to the hospital.
