“Due to the termination of the service contract and no further extension of the service period, we will say goodbye to Lanka Sathos on 08.02.2023.
As retired army police officers, we established the Lanka Sathosa Special Investigation Unit and investigated more than 100 cases of theft, fraud, corruption and irregularities in Lanka Sathosa for two years.
Clearly, we prevented the instances of economic losses to the institution and avoided misuse of the institution’s money and property and credited a large amount of wealth to the institution’s account.
The way we have come is bitter. We have learned everything through the experience we received as members of the armed forces.
We don’t like most of Lanka Sathose. They are people who misuse the company’s property who don’t love the company.
Also, we have a lot of people who work very hard.
In their questions, we have provided answers to their questions as much as possible with the help of the governing authority.
We have no allegations of bribery, collection, or other extortion.
No allegations of sexual bribery, abuse of women.
We acted respectfully regardless of official position.
We dealt strictly with the thieves.
It is the responsibility of the governing authority to implement the law based on the investigation reports provided by us.
We are not able to influence the Honorable Minister and the Honorable Chairman to follow up directly. We also work under them.
We respectfully recall that we have acted as best as possible for the welfare of the institution during our service and as a Sri Lankan citizen and as honorable armed forces officers, we have acted responsibly for good work.
We do not criticize the actions of the governing authority of the institution regarding the irregularities, corruption and frauds that have occurred.
However, with clear evidence, we know with regret that the people who misused millions of corporate property and money are still employed with few official promotions without the law being implemented in any way.
