THREE HOSPITALS IN RATNAPURA HAVE GIVEN A BIG STICK TO CEV.

The Electricity Board has sent a fax message to the Secretary of the Ministry of Health informing them that if the outstanding electricity bills of eight crore sixty three lakh six thousand four hundred twelve for the Ratnapura Teaching General Hospital, Ambilipitiya District Hospital and Thaligama District Hospital are not paid before the 14th, they will cut off the electricity in those hospitals. Accordingly, it is stated in the letter sent to the Secretary of the Ministry of Health that electricity has been supplied from six electricity accounts of the Ratnapura General Hospital, and the electricity bill has not been paid in all six electricity accounts, and the outstanding electricity fee of that hospital is Rs.

It is further mentioned in the letter that Ambilipitiya District Hospital’s outstanding electricity fee is Rupees one million nine hundred and eleven thousand six hundred and ninety-four, Thaligama District Hospital’s outstanding electricity fee is Rupees five hundred twenty-five thousand one hundred and eighty-four, but considering the need of electricity in the hospitals, the electricity was not cut off.
