It is reported that three suspects have been arrested by the Tamil Nadu Police recently (26) along with 1200kg of sea urchins which were to be transported illegally from India to Sri Lanka.
It is also stated that the value of these seized dry sea leeches is about one crore fifty lakh rupees in Sri Lankan currency.
Two of these suspects are residents of Thalaimannar and the other person has been identified by the police as a boatman from Ramanathapuram fishing port and they are going to be produced before the Tamil Nadu court.
