The Highway Tourism Police Division says that a car carrying a foreign couple to Katunayake Airport collided with the safety fence near the Kottawa Expressway entrance and three people, including a foreign couple, were injured and admitted to the Homagama Base Hospital for treatment.
The injured are an Italian couple (76-78) and a 42-year-old driver from Bandulagama, Anuradhapura, police said.
This foreign husband and wife has left a tourist hotel in Hikkaduwa area by car to go to Katunayake Airport on the 18th at around 09 pm to go to Italy.
