Today (30) the revised Appropriation Bill for this year is scheduled to be submitted to Parliament.
Accordingly, President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Finance is scheduled to present the budget speech today at 01:00 pm and the President will deliver the budget speech from 01:00 pm to 02:00 pm.
After that, Parliament will be adjourned until tomorrow (31st) at 09.30 am and the second reading debate of the amended Appropriation Bill will be held again on the 2nd.
Committee stage and adoption of the bill after the third reading is scheduled to take place after the debate on the second reading.
Also today (30th) the Cabinet is scheduled to meet at 10.00 am under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickramasinghe where Cabinet approval will be obtained for the Appropriation Bill.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe’s ruling party MP group is also scheduled to meet at Parliament today at 02.00 pm.
