It is reported that the traders in Hatton area said that the price of a kilo of tomato and brinjal has increased since yesterday (09) during the upcoming festive season.
While the prices of other vegetables have come down significantly, a kilo of tomato which was sold at 150 rupees has gone up to 250 rupees and a kilo of eggplant which was priced at 200 rupees has gone up to 350 rupees.
Traders claim that the prices of tomatoes and eggplants have gone up due to the demand in the market during the festive season.
