The Public Service Commission has reportedly decided to suspend the transfer of an officer holding a permanent appointment in the provincial public service to a corresponding post in the central government until further notice.
It is reported that the Public Service Commission has notified the circular to all ministry secretaries, provincial chief secretaries and heads of departments.
In the year 2020, the Public Service Commission had issued a circular so that a request made by an officer holding a permanent appointment in the provincial public service can be transferred to a corresponding position in the central government.
The said circular has informed to grant relevant transfers by an appointing authority subject to several conditions.
However, it is reported that the Public Service Commission has canceled the circular issued on January 30, 2020 with immediate effect.
