TWO CONSTABLES WERE CAUGHT AFTER FORCIBLY SNATCHING MONEY AND A MOBILE PHONE.

It is reported that two police constables were arrested after they seized a mobile phone and 25,300 rupees from a person who was in possession of drugs.

Regarding the incident, the Welikada Police have mentioned that on July 24, a person was arrested near a supermarket in Rajagiri with 2 grams of the drug ice, and the person was taken from the three-wheeler in which the police officers arrived and the money and mobile phone he had were taken by force. Nugegoda Division Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation on a complaint and arrested the two police constables concerned.

Two police constables attached to Fort and Keselwatta police stations have been arrested and they are scheduled to be produced before the court.
