According to information received by the officers of the Special Raid Unit located at the Special Task Force Headquarters, 46-year-old Malalage Sudath Kitsiri Thushara, alias “Welivita Sudda”, a member of an organized crime gang and a large-scale drug trafficker, was arrested yesterday (29) at Kaduwela Police Domain No. 108/A, Kothalawala, Kaduwela. It is reported that 13 g of heroin was taken into custody.
It is also reported that 33-year-old Thuppahi Mudalige Ramita alias “Adadola Ranga” was arrested with 15 g of heroin at Ambalangoda Police Domain No. 51, Temple Road, Andadola, Vathugedara.
It is stated that this “Adadola Ranga” was closely associated with an organized criminal, Sobanahandi Jayalath de Silawa or “Karandeniyae Sudda”.
