It is reported that during an operation carried out by the Police Special Task Force Organized Crime Unit, two persons have been arrested on suspicion of a case of attempted murder by shooting in Kolonnawa area.
Two 25-year-old suspects residing in Kolonnawa and Dematagoda areas have been arrested.
There, 07 grams and 500 milligrams of heroin were found in the possession of the suspects and during further investigation, the police managed to find the motorcycle used for the shooting, 02 manna knives, 07 toy pistols, 07 mobile phones and 02 helmets and the jackets they were wearing.
The Western Province Southern Crime Division will conduct further investigations into the incident
