It is reported that two suspects who assisted in the shooting incident in the Megoda Economic Center have been arrested.
On the 12th, the Megoda Police had started an investigation related to a robbery of money by two unknown persons who came on a motorcycle and shot and injured a woman with a firearm inside the Megoda Economic Center.
There, the Megoda Police had received information that the motorcycle used in the shooting was hidden in the Kirillawala area of the Kadavata police domain.
In the raid conducted there, the motorcycle, a hat, a knife and a shirt were hidden in a restaurant room and were arrested yesterday (17).
It is said that the restaurant owner who had hidden this motorcycle and a suspect who had given the house to the suspects to stay were also arrested by the police there.
The arrested suspects, aged 39 and 44, are residents of Imbulgama and Kadawata areas.
Meegoda Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
