TWO THERAS WERE BRUTALLY BEATEN.

The Puttalam headquarter police say that a Theranam and another Theranam, who had been living in a temple in Puttalam since its inception, were brutally attacked by a group of members of the congregation.

This temple was started a year ago and it is said that these monks have been living there since its inception, except for some hiris.

It is said that these inhumane attacks took place due to an ongoing dispute between a group of members of the congregation.

Due to this dispute, it is said that when the thero went to Hambantota and returned to the temple, they broke the door locks of the building where the thero was staying and stole his belongings.

After that, it is reported that a group including a father and son of the members of the congregation who broke into the temple and complained about it to the Puttalam headquarters police, were brutally beaten and stripped of their robes.

It is said that six people involved in this attack have been arrested.
