Regarding the addition of sustainable development to the budget at the President’s Office, the President’s Adviser on Environment and Sustainable Financing, Prof. Ananda Malavithantri, and the President’s Senior Adviser on Climate Change, Ruwan Wijayawardena, attended a discussion led by the United Nations Development Program’s Resident Representative, Azusa Kubota, Integration Specialist, Dulani Sirisena. Budget Writing Consultant Asif Shah, Policy Research and Engagement Assistant Afraa Mohamed were reported to have participated.
In this discussion, it is said that the United Nations Development Program pledged to support Sri Lanka in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
