VIOLENT PROTESTS AGAINST FONSEKA’S INJUNCTION.

It is reported that the respondent Samagi Jana Balawegaya stated today (04) before the Colombo District Court that it will file objections demanding the removal of the injunction issued against the chairman of the Samagi Jana Balavega, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, his party membership, the suspension of his positions and the taking of disciplinary action. .

When a petition filed by Mr. Sarath Fonseka was called before Colombo District Judge Mr. Sandun Withana today, President’s Attorney Romesh De Silva, who appeared for the respondents including Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of Samagi Jana Balavegaye, raised these objections.

Accordingly, the court has ordered the hearing of these objections to be held this afternoon.

The Colombo District Court, which considered a complaint presented by Mr. Sarath Fonseka, had issued these restraining orders to Samagi Jana Balavegaya leader Sajith Premadasa, its general secretary Ranjith Maddumabandara, national organizer Tissa Attanayake and treasurer Harsha de Silva.
