It is reported that the National Water Supply and Water Transport Board has announced that the supply of drinking water has to be restricted in several districts of the island due to the prevailing dry weather.
Its Deputy Director General Planning, Mrs. Anoja Kaluarachchi mentioned that the distribution of water in several areas including Kandy, Monaragala is currently being done under a shift system.
She has further mentioned that the distribution of water to the city of Kurunegala has to be restricted.
