From today (30) a special dengue control program is being implemented throughout the island and it is going to be implemented tomorrow (31) as well.
The Ministry of Health has decided to implement this program with the rapid increase in dengue fever cases reported from different parts of the country.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health announced that they should find places where mosquitoes can breed in and around their homes, as well as their duty stations and public places in the area and clean those places.
During this year, 76749 dengue cases have been reported in Sri Lanka and when compared to the previous year, it is more than double.
Work starts from today to defeat dengue.
