It is reported that two young men who tried to give chocolates to three schoolgirls in a van in the Panankattu West area of Thalemannarama yesterday (11) afternoon were arrested by the Thalemannarama police on suspicion.
According to police sources, this van belongs to a sweets delivery shop in Talemannaram area.
In the Mannar area, several cases of attempted abduction of students by giving them chocolates have been reported and when a controversy has arisen, the scared students have run away screaming while trying to give them chocolates.
Accordingly, according to a notification given by a group of people nearby, it is stated that the police officers engaged in surveillance duty have arrested the two suspects on the spot.
