Even the present government does not do justice to the Easter attack. Ven. Omalpe Sobhitha Thero.
Most Ven. Omalpe Sobhitha Thera stated that if the present government does not punish the perpetrators of the Easter attack, there is nothing wrong with seeking justice through the international community and that the previous government did not want to find those responsible.
He further commented,
“Legitimate arrangements must be made for the Easter attack. Those in charge of the previous good governance government did not do that. Such an incident took place because those leaders fulfilled their responsibilities. After that incident the previous government was not interested in finding the culprits. This cannot be a personal issue for a single religious group or individual or cardinal. This is a country issue. These rulers came forward to solve this problem. So, that has to be done. There are a large number of foreigners affected by this. So this is an issue that needs to go international. But before that, our rulers must act with far-sighted wisdom. Honesty is number one here. ” He declared:
